Which IT hardware can re-useIT broker for me?
The primary focus is on infrastructure hardware such as switches, access points, servers, etc. However, other product categories such as laptops, smartphones, tablets, monitors and displays can also be processed via re-useIT. Printers, on the other hand, are difficult to process.
From what quantity does it make sense?
From a quantity of 50 pieces per model, it becomes interesting for potential buyers and the chance of an attractive offer increases. Smaller quantities of less than 50 pieces are difficult to sell.
How old can the IT hardware be?
Hardware that is more than 5 years old is more difficult to sell. The more up-to-date the hardware is, the greater the chances of success.
How long does it take to process an enquiry?
It usually takes 2 to 4 weeks from the enquiry to completion. This depends on the type of hardware to be brokered and other factors such as age and condition (new, used, defective).
What does an enquiry cost me?
Both the enquiry and the processing are free of charge for customers.
What certifications do the partners have?
This depends on the partner. ISO certifications, ESG certifications, data erasure software such as Blancco, etc. The re-useIT network extends to partner companies in Switzerland and the Netherlands.
How is data erasure ensured?
If the customer requires documented data erasure, this is requested from the IT refurbishment partner company when the quotation is requested. The partner company describes the procedure and the technical tools (e.g. Blancco software). re-useIT provides the customer with end2end support and ensures that the requirements are met and the documentation is completed.
What components can be refurbished and at what price?
Depending on the condition of the IT hardware, it can be reused completely or in parts or components. This determines the value of the hardware as well as the up-to-dateness, i.e. how old the hardware is.
